A window on the Middle Ages
The centuries-old ruins of the Rocca di Campiglia, which can now be visited following meticulous restoration, dominate Val di Cornia.
The historical reconstructions on the panels and the everyday objects uncovered during the archaeological dig and on display in the museum located in the keep retrace the history of the medieval borough of Campiglia Marittima. The finds include an almost intact corazzina (type of breast-plate), a helmet and a small collection of weapons.
